Just in time for summer, Megaton Brewery, a steampunk-themed brewery and taproom, opens March 30 at 808 Russell Palmer Road, Kingwood. Owners Chris Sarvadi, Jered Montgomery, Victoria Sarvadi and John Paul Barkley wanted to create a hometown brewery using vintage recipes and infusions. The brewery will feature 17 taps showcasing its own brews as well as local beers.
Royal Brook will host an Easter Event for residents on April 20th from 1 - 4 PM at the Recreation Center.
Residents and their families will be able to take pictures with the Easter Bunny and enjoy sweet treats!
A favorite of many, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, opened in Kingwood at 4519 Kingwood Drive. The 3,615-square-foot location seats 96 guests inside with additional seating available on the patio. The Kansas-based chain has more than 300 restaurants across 31 states and is known for its steak burgers, fries and frozen custard, which is a huge hit.

Mercer Botanic Gardens celebrated its 45th anniversary earlier this year at 22306 Aldine Westfield Road, Humble. The Harris County Precinct 4 facility began as a 14.5-acre homestead owned by Charles and Thelma Mercer and has since evolved into a 400-acre educational and horticultural center. Mercer Botanic Gardens features 20 acres of cultivated gardens, an arboretum, a herbarium, nature trails, picnic areas and a playground, and draws more than 250,000 visitors annually. In addition to recently celebrating its anniversary, Mercer Botanic Gardens is also undergoing some renovations.

Friendswood Development Company, which is best known for developing some of Houston’s signature master-planned communities including Fairfield and Kingwood, will launch its Discovery New Home Tour beginning March 15-April 15, 2019. The home tour is a city-wide invitation for prospective homebuyers to visit 27 communities, where homes start in the high $100s.
Here's another idea for a great adult spring break night out! Wine & Design opened in Kings Harbor at 1660 W. Lake Houston Parkway, Ste. 107, Kingwood, in February. The studio offers public and private classes in which an artist guides a group of customers through a painting session. Customers can bring their own food, wine, beer or other drinks to the painting classes.
