Humble ISD and Student Recognition and Last-Minute School Supplies
Families in our Royal Brook community will be happy to know that both of our school districts have made it into Niche’s list for the Top 25 Houston-area School Districts! We are so proud of the faculty, staff, students, and parents who have made this achievement for Humble ISD and New Caney ISD possible. Our school districts couldn’t have done it without our community support!
We would also like to recognize Kingwood Park High School’s Track State Champion, Jacob Allen, for a phenomenal job in his competitions. It isn’t easy to win the title of Track State Champion, and nonetheless while competing in a wheelchair. All UIL High School Track Athletes are held to a specific set of standards and guidelines, which shows us just how dedicated Jacob is in this sport. From his Freshmen to Senior year, Jacob has gone from 3rd place in the 100 meters, 4th in the 400 meters and 8th in Shot to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places, respectively.
As a Member of Team USA Junior World Team 2019, too, Jacob welcomed the opportunity to travel to Switzerland and compete with his teammates with open arms in the beginning of this month. Jacob made into the impressive Top-10 Finishes in this international competition. The 2019 World Para Athletics Junior Championship was held in Nottwil, Switzerland on August 1-4.
To finish off this week’s weekend digest for the Kingwood Community, Humble ISD is still selling EPI School Supplies Packs for each elementary school. The only catch is that your order must be shipped to your home instead of the school. This option is very convenient for busy families who still want to make sure that their child is getting everything they need for the school year. This link has all the elementary schools’ codes you’ll need to order the right pack for your child.
