Humble ISD Honored by the Texas Art Education Association
The District of Distinction Award was presented to Humble ISD for providing a spectacular education that blends art into the typical curriculum. “Humble ISD was among the top two percent [of school districts] honored” throughout the entire state. The Texas Art Education Association held the award ceremony for this award at Moody Gardens in Galveston.
This award proves how dedicated Humble ISD is to the growth of their students in every aspect. Blending a curriculum to include studies about the visual arts provides a well-rounded education and prepares students for any conversations about academic and cultural subjects. TAEA’s President-elect even stated that, “Humble ISD has set the standard for visual arts advocacy, integrated visual arts curriculum and creativity.”
Not only was the school district honored, Humble ISD’s Visual Arts Coordinator, Stacia Gower, received the Supervision/Administration Art Educator of the Year Award! These awards signify the hard work that the entire district has put in to develop an amazing curriculum for Humble ISD students.
