Loved Coach Steps Down

Ashley Earhart was first a volleyball player at Kingwood High School, then its beloved coach. Now, 18 years, 326 wins, and 18 playoff appearances later, Earhart announced she is stepping down as the Kingwood volleyball coach.
She wants to spend more time with her 2-and-a-half-year-old son, MJ. "It's just become harder and harder to spend so much time away from him with him being so young and hitting so many milestones," she said. "I don't want to miss a minute of him growing up."
Kingwood not only made the playoffs every year of her tenure, but won at least one playoff game every year as well. Earhart told her players about her decision a week before the news became public.
